Flux Mirror

By applying high heat, the PET felt becomes fluid. Afterwards I guide the melted plastic into its final form, resulting in a strong contrast between the soft felt and rigid plastic. I further emphasize this contrast, by incorporating a reflective surface to my final product. Combining the fragility of my technique with a mirror, both delicate when separated but strengthened when combined. My final result is a study of aesthetics and texture.
